The main entrance of Saint Mary Cathedral is found on 10th Street, near Brazos. Stairs lead up to the grand arches framing the main entrance. A handicap accessible entrance may be found on the east side of the Cathedral, where a ramp leads into a side entrance.
Musica Ecclesiæ and orchestra perform Mozart's Requiem Mass in d-minor. The finest instrumentalists and vocalists from around Texas and beyond will join to present this most beloved -- and embattled -- masterpiece.
ME Director and Founder Dr. Jeffrey Jones-Ragona will give a talk about the various stories behind the creation of Mozart's last (and some say greatest) masterpiece entitled "King Tut's Tomb, the Hope Diamond and Mozart's Requiem." If you want to find out what these three things have in common, come to the talk, beginning at 7:45 p.m. in the Cathedral.
Tickets for this event are $30 each, with discounts for groups of 10 or more.
