In the near future, the Cathedral windows will need to be renovated. The stained glass windows, created in the late 1800s, are held together with lead, which has an effective lifespan of approximately 100 to 125 years. The windows have an estimated appraised value of $1 million and have a deep, rich history.
As you have noticed, many of the windows are memorialized. It is in this area that we need your help. If you are a relative or have knowledge of anyone who memorialized the windows, please contact Business Administrator Dave Merhar in the Cathedral office at (512) 476-6182 Ext. 113.
