  Proxy Name
  The proxy will not be named on the baptism certificate, but will be archived in the records of the parish. If the godparent cannot be present for the Baptism, he or she may appoint another person to serve as proxy. The actual godparent must give consent to the proxy. Proxies are merely stand-ins for the godparent - the actual godparent will be recorded as the sponsor.
