Workshop registration: Anyone needing an EIM workshop will sign up on-line through their EIM account. Participants login to their own EIM account to pre-register to attend a workshop.
All clergy, paid staff, and all volunteers in service to youth and vulnerable adults at any parish or diocesan location, are required to attend an EIM workshop every three years.
For those who are in the database, go to: https://www.eappsdb.com/Login.asp?ORGZ_KEY=4 make link >>Workshop Class Management>>Workshop Signup>>View Workshop Dates (choose requested workshop)>> Register (enter name - verify correct applicant)>> Register
For those who have never filled out an application in the database, you must complete an EIM application immediately (online or paper) – parish EIM site administrator can assist with this if needed and even pre-register you to attend a workshop if you need to submit the application in time. https://www.eappsdb.com/Login.asp?ORGZ_KEY=4 make link
Workshop attendance is required within 60 days of submitting the application. To attend an EIM workshop, please register in advance on line through the Diocese of Austin website on the Ethics and Integrity page (link above).
Participants who don’t have access to the internet should be directed to contact their own parish/school EIM site administrator for assistance.
Participants may “just show up”, for a workshop but in order to receive credit for their attendance, they must follow instructions they will receive at the workshop and understand an EIM Application and account is required to serve in ministry along with the Workshop.
As childcare is not available at most workshops, parents should plan to make childcare arrangements for their children before attending a workshop. Children are not allowed to be at any EIM workshop. You will be asked to take the child out and reschedule if needed.
Older teens may attend if they will be working in paid ministry or if their parent determines they should attend the adult EIM workshop program with a parent or guardian.
If you are a victim of sexual abuse and have concerns regarding your attendance at a workshop, please contact Emily Hurlimann at (512) 949-2447 to discuss an alternative workshop arrangement.
EIM REFRESHER COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENT
To fulfill this ‘refresher’ requirement you must attend the EIM Workshop offered at parishes throughout the diocese. NOTE: Application for EIM is submitted only one time. A background check is completed every 3 years from the date of your initial application submission; this is an automated process that does not require any additional action on your part. Please update your application information (change of address, phone, parish, etc) as needed, but it cannot be re-submitted.
