The main entrance of Saint Mary Cathedral is found on 10th Street, near Brazos. Stairs lead up to the grand arches framing the main entrance. A handicap accessible entrance may be found on the east side of the Cathedral, where a ramp leads into a side entrance.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction is a form of worship and devotion to Jesus Christ, present in the consecrated host. Christians around the world have worshiped and prayed in this way for at least 750 years.
Saint Mary Cathedral has Holy Hour and Benediction on the first Friday of every month after the 12:05 p.m. daily Mass at 1:30pm.
Adoration is open to anyone but please maintain a disposition of silence and reverence in the Cathedral.
Can you spend some time devoted to silent prayer and adoration with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament? If so, you can enter your name on the sign-up sheet located on a table in the narthex toward the east entrance of the Cathedral. For more information, please feel free to contact the rectory at (512) 476-6182.
