Congratulations!
Congratulations on your engagement and your interest in getting married at Saint Mary Cathedral! This sacrament is a beautiful witness to the community and the world of love and fidelity, faith and friendship, and movement towards our Loving God. The Catholic Church considers marriage between a man and a woman, a Sacrament of Vocation, and the unbreakable bond between Christ and His Church. We are excited to walk with you both and prepare you for deeper life in Christ through Marriage.
If you decide you wish to marry at Saint Mary Cathedral, please complete the Intake Form. You will be emailed instruction on how to start the process.

The Process & Preparation

To begin the process please submit an intake form below. Upon receiving your intake form the wedding coordinator will contact you to begin the process of collecting the required paperwork.Once the paperwork is completed, a wedding packet will be prepared for you and given to one of our priests. They will reach out to you to schedule your first appointment to begin the preparations. After the first meeting, your date and time will be scheduled and the payment will be due.To get married in the Catholic Church and at Saint Mary Cathedral it is required that at least one of you be either baptized Catholic, baptized in another denomination and now in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, or currently in the RCIA program to become fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to speak with our Wedding Coordinator.
SPECIAL NOTE: While wedding planners and parents provide valuable support in the preparations for your special day, please note that the Cathedral recognizes this day is about you, the couple. Therefore, all communication regarding wedding details will be directed solely to the couple preparing for marriage.
Wedding planners are welcome to attend as guests only but are not permitted to assist with any tasks while at the Cathedral. On your rehearsal and wedding day, two Saint Mary Cathedral wedding monitors will be present to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

CoordinationOur Wedding Coordinator will be with you to guide you through your Marriage Preparation. Just as in all other Sacraments you will be prepared through the guidance of the Church to receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony from your future spouse. Below is a list of items that you will go through:
- Submit the “Marriage Intake Form”
- Attend an Initial Meeting
- Complete the Pre-Marital Inventory
- Attend a Marriage Retreat and Natural Family Planning Class
- Complete Wedding Day Logistics Form
Please see the calendar below for up-to-date available dates and times for your wedding. Your wedding will be fully confirmed once the Wedding Coordinator has confirmed the date and time as well as received full payment. During the process please refrain from scheduling a venue before the Wedding Coordinator has confirmed your date and time.Wedding Availability

PreparationsNow that you have set your date at Saint Mary Cathedral, we know that there are a lot of details you will be working on until your special day.We invite you to join us for a walk-through of your wedding day. This tour will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour and does not take the place of your wedding rehearsal.

Your Nuptial Mass

LiturgySince the Nuptial Mass is not tied to a particular day in the liturgical calendar there are a few parts that you and your spouse choose for your special day. Our Wedding Coordinator will walk with you to plan each of the different aspects of the liturgy.

Music
Saint Mary Cathedral is home to a professional and highly exceptional music program. Our Musicians perform to the highest standards and will make a meaningful and memorable contribution to the prayerful and joyous atmosphere of your nuptial ceremony.
A consultation with the Organist will be scheduled after your wedding date and time have been finalized. In this meeting you will go through the different music options with the Organist.
Below is a link to the "Wedding Music Guidelines". Prior to the consultation it is recommended to visit and pray together as a couple with these selections.
